YVW – Klandy Drive Branch Sewer - Stage 2

image2Klandy Drive Branch Sewer – Stage 2 will provide a gravity sewer connection for new developments into the Kalkallo Creek Main Sewer. Construction involved the installation of 1.1km of DN400 GRP pipe, using open cut and trenchless technologies and 6 maintenance holes up to a depth of 9 metres.

Project Challenges:

  • Working in environmentally sensitive areas; Kalkallo Creek
  • Meeting Cultural Heritage requirements; CHMP
  • Protection of habitat; Growling Grass Frogs (GGF fence installation)
  • High risk activity; boring under Hume Highway
